King Yosef - "Dredge"

Yosef Pelletier (aka King Yosef) released this latest double single recently. "Mist of Pain" is an intense, Ministry-esque industrial hardcore track, while "Dredge" tones down the aural assault, leaning into more atmospheric territory, like when Deftones channel their inner goth child.

The Horrors - "Lout"

 The Horrors return from a 4-year absence with the title track to their upcoming EP. After moving from their Cramps-like debut sound to a more nuanced shoegaze sound, the band is back with a more hyper-aggressive take on 90's industrial-like Ministry and KMFDM sound. "Lout" is nightmarish and brutal.  I'm ready for more.

Jam of the Day: Blanck Mass - "Love is a Parasite"

Animated Violence Mild, Fuck Buttons' member Benjamin John Power's fourth album under his Blanck Mass moniker, is a monolithic and intense repurposing of 80s and 90s industrial music. "Love is a Parasite" takes the full-on fury of Nine Inch Nails and Ministry and amps it up even further.

New: Ministry - "PermaWar"

Marching onwards with their 13th studio album, pithily titled From Beer To Eternity, Al Jourgensen and Ministry release the first single from the album, called "PermaWar." Nothing really new here from Al, but it at least is somewhat catchy, for a change.

Before Ministry became a parody of itself, they used to put out some really great industrial metal tracks. This is my favorite track off of The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste, and has enough aggression in it to allow me to vent my anger. So if you hear me playing this song, I suggest you walk away slowly.
