Sylvan Esso - "Ferris Wheel"

In September, Sylvan Esso is set to return with new album Free Love. New single "Ferris Wheel" is a typically fun Sylvan Esso outing, with Amelia Meath singing her delightfully folksy tales over Nick Sanborn's stuttering digital washes of sound.

Kllo - "My Gemini"

Melbourne duo Kllo almost called it quits after their first album Backwater because they felt they had done all they could do. After doing separate projects, they realized they made better music together. Thankfully, they came back energized with their latest album Maybe We Could. It is full of great, atmospheric synthpop. "My Gemini" finds them mining inspiration from Burial with a muffled 2-Step beat, ghostly synths, and Chloe Kae's sultry vocals.

From Drinker's atmospheric new EP They Don't Want You To Know, "Pretend You Don't" is a ghostly, spectral track with minimal percussion, soft synth pad stabs, and whispered vocals.

Black Marble - "In Manchester (Wire cover)"

Black Marble, aka Chris Stewart, releases this cover of Wire's "In Manchester," which is oddly not off one of their legendary records, but off their self-titled record from 2015. It's a fairly respectful cover, not straying too far from the original. It has a lovely melody and while somewhat happy it has a slight melancholy feel to it.

As the lyrics say, "Live my life from day to day/'Cause who knows what's next anyway/Live my life just like you say/It's all or none, unknown melody."

Tourist x The Range - "Last"

Tourist (aka William Phillips) and The Range (aka James Hinton) have released this collaborative single that is a beautiful and contemplative electronic track that has multiple meanings as The Range sees the track as hopeful, hearing the lyric "you know you last," while Tourist sees it as a meditation on grief, hearing it as "you know you lost." Either way, it is a stellar track.
