The Horrors - "Lout"

The Horrors return from a 4-year absence with the title track to their upcoming EP. After moving from their Cramps-like debut sound to a more nuanced shoegaze sound, the band is back with a more hyper-aggressive take on 90's industrial-like Ministry and KMFDM sound. "Lout" is nightmarish and brutal.  I'm ready for more.

He teams up with the legendary Nile Rodgers on the guitar-focused "One More." It's impossible to not dance to this song.

From his excellent new record Sound Ancestors produced by Four Tet, "Loose Goose" is a shape-shifting track that starts with boom-bap production and Snoop Dogg samples, then to a dancehall rave out, on to a fiunk/R&B interlude, and back to the beginning again. It's a masterful production.

SOPHIE's music was so influential that we will be feeling the impact for decades to come.
