Jessie Ware - "Freak Me Now"

Bow down low bitches, the Goddess Jessie Ware is here to slay. Her new album That! Feels Good! is going to be the album of the summer, if not the year. Pure disco/house fabulousness.  "Freak Me Now" is currently on constant repeat, with Ware adding some French house thump to her menu.

DRAMA - "Tighten It Up"

Alt-R&B duo DRAMA teases us with a slinky, funky dance track called "Tighten It Up." 

Ulrika Spacek - "The Sheer Drop"

British art-rockers Ulrika Spacek is back after a five-year absence with Compact Trauma, one of the best guitar-based records of the year. "The Sheer Drop" throws in angular guitars, hushed vocals. and intricate percussion, before hitting a late-section eruption of feedback that envelops back in on itself. 

Douglas Dare - "Teardrop (Massive Attack Cover)"

London-based singer-songwriter Douglas Dare shares an intimate, skeletal cover of the Massive Attack classic. 

Bodywash - "Perfect Blue"

Montreal-based duo Bodywash's recently released their new record I Held The Shape While I Could. "Perfect Blue" is a dense, shoegazy track with thundering drums, buzzy guitars, and gauzy synths.

King Krule - "Seaforth"

King Krule releases his new single "Seaforth" from the upcoming album Space Heavy. It's a lilting, dreamy, jangle pop track. Cute video as well, with lots of dogs. 

Maceo Plex ft. Ishi - "Moon Sky"

Maceo Plex teams up with singer Ishi on the wonderful downtempo track "Moon Sky." 

Abra - "FKA MESS"

To celebrate her birthday, Atlanta-based singer Abra releases the new song "FKA MESS." It's an interesting mix of new jack swing, post-punk, and emo; very moody and cool. 

When Saints Go Machine - "Gone"

Danish experimental synthpop group When Saints Go Machine goes EDM on "Gone," their most accessible song yet. Usually, the band twists and mutates singer Nikolaj Manuel Vonsild's vocals with layers of effects but, here, his aching voice is barely touched, unwrapping layers of emotion. It floats over thunderous drum programming and thick synths.

Romy - "Enjoy Your Life"

Romy of The xx releases another stellar dance anthem, the swirling disco-esque "Enjoy Your Life." The track features a sample of  “La Vita” by Beverly Glenn-Copeland, and is produced by Fred Again.., Stuart Price, and Jamie xx.

The Drums - "I Want It All"

Super catchy pop track from The Drums' as-yet-to-be-named upcoming record.  

Shygirl - "Playboy/Positions"

Shygirl returns with the club banger "Playboy/Positions," which will be included on the deluxe version of her debut album Nymph. The song returns to her weird side, and it's all the better for it.

 

Blondshell - "Salad"

The debut album from Blondshell (aka Sabrina Teitelbaum) is released today and it's full of bangers. The Hole-esque murder fantasy track "Salad" is pretty amazing.

The New Division - "Zenith"

The New Division's (aka John Glenn Kunkel) latest record Modern Life is another solid collection of synthpop tracks. "Zenith" is one of my favorite tracks with its skyscraping keyboards and epic guitar leads.
