British art-rockers Ulrika Spacek is back after a five-year absence with Compact Trauma, one of the best guitar-based records of the year. "The Sheer Drop" throws in angular guitars, hushed vocals. and intricate percussion, before hitting a late-section eruption of feedback that envelops back in on itself.
