Soccer Mommy - ""Unholy Affliction"

"Unholy Affliction" is the newest single from Soccer Mommy's upcoming album Sometimes, Forever which was produced by Oneohtrix Point Never (aka Daniel Lopatin). The song has a very dark, 90s feel, recalling Portishead, Massive Attack, and Tricky.

Spiritualized - "I'm Coming Home Again"

Today marks the release of another exquisite Spiritualized album, Everything Was Beautiful. The final track on the album, "I'm Coming Home Again," is a rollicking 10-minute song with choirs, horns, and strings. It's a perfect closer. 

The Smile - "Free In The Knowledge"

The Smile (aka Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood and Sons Of Kemet’s Tom Skinner) announced their upcoming debut record entitled A Light For Attracting Attention. With those details, they have given us another single, the lovely ballad "Free In The Knowledge" which finds the band working London Contemporary Orchestra who provide the lush strings. It's one of Yorke's most beautiful songs.

Yung Lean ft. FKA twigs - "Bliss"

Yung Lean teams up with FKA twigs on the excellent single "Bliss" that features on his new mixtape called Stardust. It has a New Order feel with a driving bassline and crisp drum machines. 

1000 Beasts - "Naruda (Fall In Your Arms Again)"

Irish producer Cian Sweeney, who goes by the name 1000 Beasts, gives us a lovely down-tempo track with burbling synths, trills of Latin guitar, and ghostly vocal samples.

SuperShy - "Happy Music"

SuperShy's (aka Tom Misch) track "Happy Music" is a bright and fun nu-disco track that practically commands you to dance.

Interpol - "Something Changed"

The second single from Interpol's upcoming record The Other Side of Make Believe is the haunting "Something Changed."  Over a rumbling low-end, the band floats plaintive piano chords, echoing guitars, and Paul Banks' tortured baritone.

Floating Points - "Vocoder"

After Promises, his wondrous record with jazz legend Pharoah Sanders and the London Symphony Orchestra, Floating Points (aka Sam Shepherd) returns to the dance floor, with the slamming track "Vocoder." It's one of those amazing bangers that keep changing, moving in unpredictable ways. 

Interpol - "Toni"

"Toni" is the first taste of Interpol's new record The Other Side of Make-Believe which was produced by Flood and Alan Moulder. It's a slow-burning track punctuated by stark piano, melodic bass, and a driving beat.

Sun's Signature - "Golden Air"

Cocteau Twin's singer Elizabeth Fraser returns with her first new music in 13 years with "Golden Air." It is a project called Sun's Signature she formed with partner Damon Reese. It pairs her signature vocals with folk guitars that build to a dream-pop climax.  

Hercules & Love Affair ft. ANOHNI & Budgie - "Poisonous Storytelling"

Hercules & Love Affair (aka producer Andy Butler) teams up again with ANOHNI for the intense and dramatic track "Poisonous Storytelling" off the upcoming record In Amber. The track features the cavernous drumming of Siouxsie and the Banshees' drummer Budgie.

Doss ft Cecilia Gault - "Cherry"

Doss' latest single "Cherry," featuring vocals from Cecilia Gault, is a dark four-to-the-floor banger with clashing beats and deep blasts of bass synth. This song will erupt on the dancefloor.
