Composer William Baskinski, best known for his masterful work called The Disintegration Loops, a four-volume set of works made from his own decaying music tapes, is set to release a new album called Lamentations. The first taste of the record is the poignant, meditative "O, My Daughter, O, My Sorrow," which consists of a series of long synth passages with a distant operatic sample that feels like a call of a ghost in another room. It's a truly breathtaking piece of art.
