Carly Rae Jepsen - “Psychedelic Switch"

Now we know what it would sound like if Carly Rae Jepsen teamed up with Daft Punk. “Psychedelic Switch" is a four-to-the-four banger, with disco guitars and rubbery bass. The song comes from her new album of B-Sides, The Loveliest Time. Honestly, I think these are all A-Sides and is one of her best records.

James Blake - "Loading"

From James Blake's upcoming record Playing Robots Into Heaven, an alleged return to his more experimental work, "Loading" finds Blake auto-tuning, pitch shifting, and multitracking his vocals into blissful and sometimes disturbing forms.

Cigarettes After Sex - "Bubblegum"

 

Brooklyn dream-pop outfit Cigarettes After Sex has basically cornered the market on atmospheric make-out music. Their current single "Bubblegum" is no different, focusing on Gregory Gonzalez's narcotic vocals, mournful synths, and tendrils of guitars. 

Ellroy - "It's Not You"

Ellroy (Belgian producer/singer/songwriter Wim Janssens) just released the album Lost Tapes (Pt 1). The first track on the record is the emotional and haunting track "It's Not You," which pairs Janssens' striking baritone with pounding drums and droning, echoing guitars.

Tinashe - "Talk To Me Nice"

Sultry and seductive, the new single from Tinashe finds her in a more intimate mood. The track was produced by Nosaj Thing and Scoop DeVille.
