Clark ft. Thom Yorke - "Medicine"

Veteran electronic producer Clark's new record Sus Dog was executive produced by Radiohead's Thom Yorke, who adds his ghostly vocals to the track "Medicine." The video also incorporates deep fake technology to merge Clark and Yorke's faces together.

Blawan - "Toast"

"Toast," from Blawan's new EP called Dismantled Into Juice, is a hyperkinetic track with complex, dense percussion and lots of squealing synths.  

Arlo Parks - "Blades"

Arlo Parks has just released My Soft Machine, her follow-up to the Mercury Prize-winning album Collapsed In Sunbeams. "Blades" floats over a groovy, summery beat with burbling synths, and tendrils of guitar. 

bdrmm - "Pulling Stitches"

English band bdrmm's latest single "Pulling Punches" is a wonderful nod back to shoegaze forefathers My Bloody Valentine. It will be on their upcoming record I Don't Know. 

Bar Italia - "Horsey Girl Rider"

 

Mysterious London trio Bar Italia's latest record Tracey Denim is a moody collection of guitar-led tracks influenced by bands like Slowdive, Pavement, The Cure, and New Order. "Horsey Girl Rider" finds the band members snaking post-punk guitar lines around their enigmatic vocals.

Vandal Mood - "Sad Sad Girl"

In continuation of World Goth Day yesterday, here is the latest single from LA goth/post-punk duo Vandal Moon. Blake Voss said that he wanted to combine samples of the old E-mu synthesizers Depeche Mode used to use with Charli XCX-like drum machines. The result is the dark, sensual "Sad Sad Girl," your perfect chef's kiss of a goth ballad.

Mandy, Indiana - "Drag [Crashed]"

Manchester act Mandy, Indiana's debut record i've seen a way, is a relentless set of post-punk, industrial bangers. "Drag [Crashed]" is menacing and tactile.

Daniel Avery ft. Georgia - "Going So Low"

UK producer Daniel Avery has surprise-released a new EP called More Truth, a collection of extra material from his Truth sessions. "Going Slow" is a pounding techno track that descends into a breakbeat freak-out. Producer Georgia adds ethereal vocals to the mix

Four Tet - "Three Drums"

"Three Drums" is the perfect segue from Four Tet's recent Coachella headlining set with Skrillex and Fred Again.. A loping trip-hop beat is enveloped by washes of synths and strings, and in its breathtaking 8 minutes will soothe your soul.

Róisín Murphy - "The Universe"

"The Universe" is the second single from Róisín Murphy's upcoming record Hit Parade, produced by DJ Kose. It's a jazzy number with lots of strange touches like processed vocals and a bizarre spoken word section. Pure Róisín Murphy. 

Oval - "Rytmy"

Oval, the music project of pioneering glitch producer Markus Popp, has just released its latest record, the fantastic Romantiq. "Rytmy" is built on a bed of pointillistic piano that slowly ushers in droning synths, a funky organ loop, and some subtle woodwinds. 

Alison Goldfrapp - "Hotel (Suite 23)"

From her excellent solo record The Love Invention, "Hotel (Suite 23)" is a sexy, funky electro track about a one-night stand.

Overmono - "Calling Out"

Welsh electronic duo Overmono (brothers Tom and Ed Russell) released their debut album today called Good Lies and it is killer. Closing track "Calling Out" is a layered two-step track with precision beats, oceanic keyboards, and processed vocals. 

HEALTH - "HATEFUL (ft. Street Sects’ Leo Ashline)"

LA noise rock titans HEALTH's new single "HATEFUL" dives deep into EBM mode with thumping drums, swirling synths, and riff-heavy guitars.

Mareux - "Killer"

LA-based darkwave producer Mareux (aka Aryan Ashtiani) just released his debut record Lovers From The Past. "Killer" is a darkly menacing track with dense beat and haunting keyboard work. If you are fans of Sisters of Mercy, you will love this. 

Glaring - "Blood (Glorious Din Cover)"

German darkwave/synthpop artist Glaring shares her cover of cult fave post-punk band Glorious Din's song "Blood," giving it a gorgeous sheen. It sounds like a lost song from a This Mortal Coil record.

LCY - "Heartbreaker"

London producer LCY's new EP He Hymns is an exploration of religion, shame, and personal exploration. "Heartbreaker" is a tense and electric club track that beautifully marries rave and drum n' bass elements into a cohesive whole.

SBTRKT ft. Leilah - "No Intention"

London producer SBTRKT released his first album in seven years today called The Rat Race. "No Intention" is a collaboration with London singer Leilah who lends her heartfelt vocals to the track which features crisp drum programming and downtempo synths.

Novaa ft. Mulay & Ayelle - "Titanic"

Singer-producer Novaa teams up with Mulay and Ayelle for the single "Titanic," which is about how love is never like the movies. The song has some great lines like "I know that it's scary/But I got you baby/I ain't gonna make you paint me and then let you die alone in the icе cold water."

Kesha - "Eat the Acid"

From Kesha's upcoming record Gag Order, "Eat the Acid" is a stark, disturbing track that alludes to her history (and ongoing legal battles) with Dr. Luke. It was produced by Rick Rubin and is described by Kesha as being "post-pop." It definitely shows a new side to Kesha and piques my interest in this new project.

The Album Leaf ft. Bat For Lashes - "Near"

Bat For Lashes lends her ghostly vocals to "Near," a track on The Album Leaf's upcoming album Future Falling. The song features haunting and enveloping washes of synths, creating an ambient fairy tale. 

Arca - "Ritual"

Avant-garde, experimental producer Arca returns to her earlier work from her brilliant first EPs on the jagged, stuttering "Ritual," an outtake from her KICK series.
