Shygirl's debut album Nymph will be released soon and we are given the teaser single "Firefly." It's an uncharacteristically light and airy mid-tempo track with fluttery guitars, two-step beats, and her lythe coo.

London artist Sunnbrella, aka David Zbirka, releases the intoxicating single "Fever Dream," a 90s-feeling ode to club culture. It's awash in pillowy synths, fuzzy guitars, and Madchester/Baggy-esque drums. 

Working Men's Club - "Heart Attack"

Yorkshire quartet Working Men's Club stuns on their sophomore record Fear Fear, transcending their influences and marking their own sound. "Heart Attack" is a plastic funk workout with Japan-like bass lines, icy Afrikka Bambaataa via Kraftwerk icy synths, amid a Cabaret Voltaire framework. 

Fitzilt Far ft. PJ Harvey and Bat For Lashes - "Heart Cold"

Sadly, I can't give you any information on this artist, as there is nothing on the internet about them. I can only assume they sample PJ Harvey and Bat For Lashes on this thumping, jeep-rattling track. Indian-flavored sitars combine with rave-like synths over mountainous break beats.

Arms and Sleepers - "thru & true"

Ambient/trip-hop duo Arms and Sleepers, aka Max Lewis, and Mirza Ramic, have a new record out called former kingdoms. The third single "thru & true" is a languid track that feels like it could sit easily on The Avalanches' Since I Left You.

Beth Orton - "Forever Young"

Beth Orton recently announced her first record in six years which is titled Weather Alive. The latest taste from the album is the spectral, evocative "Forever Young" which has a Colour of Spring-era Talk Talk vibe, with crisp drums, moody keyboards, and sinuous double bass.

Beacon - "Can't Look Back"

Brooklyn electronic duo Beacon is set to release their new record Along The Lethe in September. "Can't Look Back" is the third teaser track with lovely synth arpeggios and a delicate two-step beat.

Phoebe Green - "Lucky Me"

"Lucky Me," the title track to Manchester artist Phoebe Green's debut album, is a throbbing, seductive song that marries her warm, yet slightly detached vocals over booming drums and insistent bass, punctuated with lush synths. 

Suave Punk - "Dust Bunny"

Suave Punk, the moniker of Korean-American post-punker Justin Kim, revels in 90s shoegaze and dream pop while keeping it fresh and updated. His latest single "Dust Bunny" is a thick and lumbering monster of effects-heavy guitars and mountainous drums. If I'm not mistaken, it seems like there is a melodic nod to Cocteau Twins' classic track "Carolyn's Fingers."

Forts - "The Chemist"

Alt-pop trio Forts go to dark places on their haunting new single "The Chemist." Lead singer Mary Clare (Mars) Clemons says that the song is her "way of personifying the nightmare that is PMDD, as a grotesque monster that my little chemist of a brain/body manages to conjure up… knowing how alone I’ve felt through it makes me feel like it’s kind of my duty to talk about it since it’s so often mistaken for regular depression. 1 in 20 women are affected by this, yet hardly anyone talks about it.” Her vocals are distorted and manipulated over a bed of booming drums and evocative synths.

The Big Pink ft. Dust In The Sunlight - "Love Spins On Its Axis"

Synthy shoegazers The Big Pink returns with a new single "Love Spins On Its Axis." It's a stadium-ready anthem of swooning synths, cavernous drums, and Robbie Furze's epic vocals.  

Yard Act ft. Elton John - "100% Endurance (Elton John Version)"

Leeds post-punkers Yard Act surprisingly team up with Elton John for a reworking of their song "100% Endurance" which was found on their recent album The Overload. It's quite touching and lovely.

Keudo - "Infinite Window"

Producer Keudo returns after a lengthy absence with a new record Infinite Window which will be released on Flying Lotus' Brainfeeder label. The title track is another brilliant song that takes his Blade Runner aesthetic and amps up the maximalism.
