Melbourne musician/producer Mild Minds throws down this seriously catchy synthpop track from his album MOOD. If you like bands like Hot Chip and Cut/Copy, you will love this.

Four Tet - "Love Salad"

Being sheltered-at-home for the time being I am doing what I can to prevent cabin fever. One thing I do is take a few times a day, pick out a killer dance track, and just dance with abandon. I'm currently digging this shapeshifting track from Four Tet's latest killer record Sixteen Oceans.

Porridge Radio - "Long"

Post-punk burner from Brighton quartet Porridge Radio. There is a great sense of tension and release in the track that builds to a dramatic conclusion. It's on their new record Every Bad.

Gorillaz – “Désolé” (Feat. Fatoumata Diawara)

Gorillaz returns with this bouncy track with Malian singer Fatoumata Diawara.

King Princess - "Back of a Cab"

Bonus track on the deluxe version of King Princess' album Cheap Queen is a midtempo song about how your first love always seems to stay with you.

Elliot Moss - "Silver + Gold"

Elliot Moss' single "Silver + Gold" is about reaching a point in your life and realizing you wasted it pursuing things that you thought were expected of you and wishing you had followed your dreams. It has a very James Blake quality with its vocal processing and moody synthesizers. The song is on his latest record A Change In Diet.

Machine Girl - "Scroll of Sorrow"

Pittsburgh duo Machine Girl pulls together a potent mix of industrial, hardcore, rave, and EBM, sometimes all in the same song. Off their new record U-Void Synthesizer, "Scroll of Sorrow" is a super catchy synth rave-up that draws from Skinny Puppy and Nitzer Ebb.

Black Taffy - "Jaguarundi"

Black Taffy, aka Donovan Jones, marries ambient music with languid hip-hop beats. His music has been described as Boards of Canada meets J Dilla. Regardless, he makes some hauntingly beautiful music, like this song "Jaguarundi" off his album Elder Mantis.

Car Seat Headrest - "Can't Cool Me Down"

Bizarre left-turn from Car Seat Headrest. Known more for their spiky indie-rock guitar sound, the band ventures into synthy post-punk on the track "Can't Cool Me Down." It definitely spikes my interest for their new record Making A Door Less Open.

Róisín Murphy - "Murphy's Law"

Róisín Murphy is an international treasure. Her latest single "Murphy's Law" is a straight-up disco classic, Murphy's velvety vocals buoyed by a sleek groove. It is pure heaven.

When Saints Go Machine - "Still's Most Desired"

Danish electropop trio When Saints Go Machine has just released its fourth album So Deep. Their music is frequently other-worldly, like transmissions from another dimension. I'm fascinated by the song "Still's Most Desired" with its dense, layered production, and especially how they weave delicate synth melodies throughout.

Jessie Ware - "Spotlight"

Sparkling, disco-tinged track from Jessie Ware that is infectious. It will be included on her upcoming record What's Your Pleasure?

Christine and the Queens - "Je disparais dans tes bras"
