Jam of the Day: These New Puritans - "Inside the Rose"

Title track from These New Puritans' fantastic new fourth album. Their music is almost undefinable; but my best approximation is it sounds like what Talk Talk would have sounded like had they gone down a more electronic/techno side of things after Spirit of Eden and Laughing Stock.

Jam of the Day: Flume - "MUD"

Flume just released his mixtape Hi This is Flume, and it is a killer mix of new tracks. "MUD" shows off more of his textural side with industrial strength drums and more melted, twisted synths.

Jam of the Day: Tamaryn - "Angels of Sweat"

Tamaryn began her career as a dark, droning shoegaze act but now has moved full force into sparkling synthpop. "Angels of Sweat" is the latest track from her upcoming album Dreaming the Dark, which sounds like if Kate Bush fronted Erasure. It's pretty mesmerizing.

Jam of the Day: The Innocence Mission - "The Snow on Pi Day"

The Innocence Mission has been around for over 30 years and they never disappoint. This latest song is probably one of their most beautiful. Prepare to be transfixed.

Jam of the Day: SASAMI - "Not the Time"

SASAMI, the former keyboardist for Cherry Glazerr, has released a lovely collection of shoegazey pop. One of my favorite songs is this beautiful ode to a relationship that didn't work out but the feelings remain and they want to save the friendship. I love these lyrics, that sums up at lot of personal things for myself:

"One of these nights I'm
Gonna hear your song again, friend
One of these nights I'm
Gonna be your friend again
It's not the time or place for us
But you said that you would save some space for us."

Jam of the Day: KH (aka Four Tet) - "Only Human"

Four Tet, under the alias KH, takes a sample from Nelly Furtado's track "Afraid" and turns out one of the best dance floor bangers I have heard in a long time.
