Jam of the Day: Wild Beasts - "Punk Drunk and Trembling"
Wild Beasts, one of my favorite bands ever, have announced that they are splitting. They are about to release their final EP, Punch Drunk and Trembling, which is culled from tracks left over from their last record Boy King. This is the title track and is another beautiful, elegant song. It saddens me that they are breaking up, but they leave a wonderful body of work that I will always listen to.

Jam of the Day: Baths - "Yeoman"
Baths, a.k.a. Will Wiesenfeld, returns with his first new album in four years, Romaplasm, and releases the first single "Yeoman." It's a quirky, yet endearing synthpop number, full of odd touches that reveal themselves with each listen.

Jam of the Day: Tricky ft. Marina Topley-Bird - "When We Die"
Wonderful hearing Tricky collaborate again with his initial muse Marina Topley-Bird and, even better, come back with a song as beautiful and haunting as this.

Jam of the Day: The Killers - "Some Kind of Love"
Based on a sample from Brian Eno's ambient composition "An Ending (Ascent)", The Killers' latest single from their upcoming album Wonderful Wonderful is a touching, atmospheric ballad.

Jam of the Day: Björk - "The Gate"
Mesmerizing and gorgeous, Björk's new single is warmer than anything off Vulincura, a heartbreaking, bleak meditation on her breakup with artist Matthew Barney. Strings and woodwinds lay a beautiful base on which Björk's vocals swirl and climb, as later, warped electronics and subtle beats wander in and out of the mix.

Jam of the Day: Burial - "Rodent"
After an increasing number of vastly experimental singles, Burial releases probably his most accessible track ever. "Rodent" builds off a deep bass line and thumping house beat. Filtered throughout are ghostly vocal and horn samples.

Jam of the Day: Charlotte Gainsbourg - "Rest"
Produced by Daft Punk's Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, "Rest" is a quietly addictive lullaby with twinkling, dreamy synthesizers providing a soft bed for Charlotte Gainsbourg's half whispered vocals.
