Normani ft. James Blake - "Tantrums"

Normani's excellent record Dopamine is the best R&B album so far this year. "Tantrums," her collaboration with James Blake, is a sultry, kiss-off jam. Love the lyrics:

Lola Young - "Messy"

South London singer Lola Young is my latest obsession. Her new album this wasn't meant for you anyway finds her on solid ground. It's an instant classic. I love her single "Messy" which is about a troubled relationship and has a lot of biting one-liners. 

Tove Lo & SG Lewis - "Heat"

With this collaboration with producer SG Lewis, Tove Lo joins Charli XCX and Robyn in the ranks of summer bangers. Get ready to hear this a million times on the dancefloor.

Jamie xx ft. Robyn - "Life"

Jamie xx and Robyn throw down this electrifying dance floor banger. It will feature on Jamie xx's upcoming record In Waves. 

RIP Swirl ft. Winter - "Perfectly Blue"

Berlin-based multi-instrumentalist and producer RIP Swirl joins forces with Winter for this blazing shoegaze track. 

Molchat Doma - "Son"

Belarusian band Molchat Doma returns with their new album Belaya Pelosa. The first single is "Son" which finds them adding noir-like guitar elements to their post-punk/goth sound. It's an excellent teaser for the record.

Bad Omens X Thousand Below - "Artificial Suicide (Unzipped)"

Intense and dramatic industrial metal rager from Bad Omens and Thousand Below. 

Charli XCX - "Spring Breakers"

Charli XCX dropped the deluxe version of Brat with three extra tracks. "Spring Breakers" is a nuclear explosion of air raid siren synths and intense drum programming. Play it loud. 

Two Shell - "Gimme It"

Enigmatic London duo Two Shell's latest single "Gimme It" is an experimental club track combining a tornado of spliced and splintered vocal samples with dense, textural programming. 

Charli XCX - "So I"

Charli XCX's new album Brat is one of the best albums of the year, full of razor-sharp hooks and a blisteringly experimental edge, returning her to her rightful place as the head of future pop. While the album is stacked to the rafters with club bangers (and will likely appear more on my posts), the song that stands out the most to me is "So I," the touching ballad in tribute to her mentor SOPHIE, allowing her to be sad and pour that emotion into her music.

Foster The People - "Lost In Space"

Foster The People previews its upcoming album Paradise State of Mind with the swirling disco fantasy "Lost In Space." Get ready for heavenly strings, funky synth-bass, and a locked-in beat. 

NERO - "Blame You"

Into the Unknown will be the first album in 9 years from electronic music legends NERO. The new single "Blame You" finds them returning to their drum n' bass roots in dramatic fashion.

Jamie xx - "Treat Each Other Right"

Jamie xx announced the release of his second solo album In Waves due in September. In conjunction, he released the single "Treat Each Other Right, " a genre mash of several dance styles (footwork, rave, dubstep, etc) that never takes a wrong turn.
