Solange Knowles: "Left Side Drive"

See, I can enjoy more mainstream songs. Of course, it does help when the artist samples a track from Boards of Canada. Solange always has a quirky side to her, which I like. Loved her cover of "Stillness Is The Move" from Dirty Projectors.

On working with Boards of Canada and using this track, Solange said:

“It’s completely unofficial, and was just inspired by the song which I have had a deep love affair with for years. I am a huge Boards of Canada fan, and got the chance to work with them on Sol-Angel on ‘This Bird’. Still feel honored to this day.”

Purists can moan all they want, it is a great BoC track, and Solange really creates something nice with her vocal and lyrics.
