Videos of the Week

When will all this nasty winter weather cease! Snow and ice everywhere north of here, and we are inundated with rain and sleet. I need summer stat! Oh well, until mother nature takes a break, here are the latest videos that are keeping my hands and feet warm:

Continuing my Coachella countdown with dubstep duo Mount Kimbie. This video was shot on their world tour and is an interesting travelogue.

So this is not exactly a music video, but who cares? It is a nice gratuitous shot of hottie bear Patrick Warburton in a skimpy bathing suit/underwear.

FOALS // MIAMI from dave ma on Vimeo.

Another Coachella band I am looking forward to, Foals. This video is so incongruous to the song that is it brilliant.

I've been going to the gym a lot this week, and the early mornings coupled with the nasty weather have really sapped my energy by the afternoon. Without music I am sure I would be in a coma. I've been posting a lot of songs that get my blood pumping. This song's bass is so deep it will knock you out of your chair.

I doubt I will catch The National at Coachella since I just saw a full live show of theirs last year. It will free me up to catch someone else. I do love them though, and this is my favorite song off their last album.

"Suck my motherfucking bass"

This is such a lovely remix of a great Radiohead song.

Although I have seen them in the past, I have not seen them on this tour, and their latest album was my favorite of 2010. So, needless to say, I am definitely going to see them.

I really wish that At The Drive In had not broken up. As seen from this video, they were a formidable live act. Now, we are left with two factions, The Mars Volta, which is a bunch of proggy bullshit, and Sparta, which is just bland, alterna-rock.

Wire is a must-see at Coachella. They are a band I was never able to catch live during their prime. "Silk Skin Paws" is one of my favorite songs of theirs. Has a killer synth riff.

Kode9 should put on a killer set; whether it be an actual live set or a DJ set. This is one killer track, with a sinister, creepy video.

Love the Klaxons. They are my one definite must see of the festival.

Awesome drum and bass track set to a video of church goers dancing. Cracks me up every time.
