Best Videos of 2010 (Nos. 20-11)

20.  Amon Tobin - Esther's

Pretty amazing video that appears sinister at first but takes a surprising turn.

19.  James Blake - Limit To Your Love

Most of the time I am not sure if I get any true sense of what a video means or is supposed to mean, I basically just write about how it makes me feel or what it reminds me of.  This video definitely evokes a Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind feeling for me.  The video seems to be about someone dumped in a relationship, gathering up all their memories, and removing them from.  Haunting song.

18.  Hot Chip - I Feel Better

On the other hand, sometimes a video is exactly what it is: batshit weird.

17.  Skream - Listenin' To The Records On My Wall

Possibly NSFW video from one of dubstep's originators: a visually intense feast.

16.  Jonsi - Go Do

Jónsi - Go Do from Jónsi on Vimeo.

Gorgeous and whimsical video that perfectly syncs with the upbeat nature of the song.

15.  Baths - Lovely Bloodflow

Haunting like an old Japanese ghost story.

14.  LCD Soundsystem - Drunk Girls

LCD Soundsystem - Drunk Girls from DFA Records on Vimeo.

Another classic video directed by Spike Jonze, featuring James Murphy and Co. embattled by crazed pandas.

13.  These New Puritans - We Want War

Slow-motion video with arresting warlike imagery.

12.  Jamie Woon - Night Air

Reminds me of the Talk Talk video for "Life's What You Make It;" a dark walk through the night's landscape.

11.  Kanye West - Runaway

A 30 minute short film from Kanye West; indulgent? Yes.  But like the album it comes from, it's a brilliant mess.
