Videos of the Week

Been a long week, and I am so glad it is Friday.  Here are the videos from this week that got me through it all.

Very nice song from Local Natives with a very funny video featuring an overly antagonistic shark.

Darkstar have put out some amazing singles in the dubstep genre but have never put forth a full cd.  Finally, they are set to release their first cd North next month, and here is the first single, a cover/re-imagining of the Human League B-side, "You Remind Me Of Gold."  It is more post-dubstep than actual dubstep, which is a little off putting when you first hear it, but it is a killer track and an interesting video.

Belle and Sebastian performing the title track from their new cd on the Jimmy Fallon show, with Roots' drummer ?uestlove backing them up.  Who knew Stuart Murdoch could be so animated?

James Blake is only 21 and is one of the most exciting new electronic performers out there.  He mixes a lot of post-dubstep sounds with his own take on bedsit R&B.  I am really loving this title song from his EP.

One of the best pure pop singles ever recorded.

One of the best pure pop singles Deerhunter has ever recorded.

Awesome electro-house single from DFA artist Shit Robot.

One of my favorite songs off the new Foals cd.  The video featuring sad puppets is quite touching.
