I think this is the first Videos of the Week I have actually posted on a Friday, so I am feeling pretty good about that. Here are the latest videos that are grabbing my attention.
Real Estate are a pleasant surprise I stumbled upon. Very low-key and shambling, they sound like a band you would run into at a dive bar that completely captivate you. Their self titled release is summery and warm and makes you feel wonderful. I highly recommend it.
Kid Sister sounds like a slightly ghetto Nenah Cherry. She lacks the social awareness and biting lyrics Neneh is known for, but makes up for it with lots of attitude. Plus I love the use of the Yaz sample.
My favorite song off the new Muse cd. Has almost a Depeche Mode meets Queen vibe. They are scheduled to play Coachella next year, so I am interested to see how they do in a festival setting.
Hallucinatory video from Yeasayer. Reminds me of the bizarre movies from Jodorowsky like The Holy Mountain and El Topo. NSFW though!
More fun, nu-rave music from Delphic. Really looking forward to the full length release.
